how can i know the version of the psp form its box and wht version shall i buy tht can play games from the memory stick? wht versions of the psp can accept custum firmwares??? help!

it shows how to tell the version by a letter on the box, it only goes up to 2.01, there is a better list of them but i cant find it atm. anyway try and buy the psp with the lowest letter possible ie. A.

To get to the custom firmwares it easiest to downgrade to version 1.5 and then upgrade. 2.80 and below are fairly easy to downgrade but above that u need a certain gta: lcs disk thats a pain in the ass to find.
