matrix infinity menu

A guy here in another forum told me to access the configuration menu for the matrix infinity by pressing triangle and circle and set the chip to read dual layers.

I am playing a dual layered disc(backup)and so far so good but Im still at the beginning
the problem is that when I turn the ps2 on or reset and press those 2 buttons triangle and circle I just get to the browser screen not any menu of the chip.

I remember I used to turn off the chip by pressing select or start while booting and that did work but this matrix configuration menu I cant get to it.

under the initial playstation logo comes infinity v1.2 if that might help

with ps2 turned off, press at same time triangle & circle.
Then,click on reset. You´ll get the menu for sure

you will not if you have a pre v1.35 firmware.I updated and now it comes
