1) Will RiData DL DVDs work for the 360? They're a bit cheaper on newegg than the other DVDs.

2) Will the drives in my Vaio, which include a DL DVD burner, suffice for burning the games?

3) Once flashed, will my 360 no longer play original games?

4) Will games downloaded online work or do they have to be patched somehow?

5) What's the easiest way to make backups?

Thanks

Hey m8, I spoke nothing of piracy. But I think we can both agree it'd be a bit easier to just download and burn than crack open the 360, and go through those shenanigans.

Thanks for the quick reply tho.

Now, with the Kreon firmware, will the Samsung only be able to read the 360 discs?

No... it'll still work as a regular pc drive, but will also read xbox 1 & 360 games.

K, thanks for all the the help, mateys.

Another question, do I need the Xecutor kit to do this, or does it just make things easier?

Do you know of any guide on how to do this without it, or can you give me a rundown or something?

OK, so I think I'm getting a hold on this. What this guy did was, he cracked open his 360, disconnect the SATA cable from the console to the 360 drive, and brought another SATA cable from the compy to the 360 Drive. But he kept the 360 power in the 360 drive.

THANKS, m8, you're magical.

make sure you know that you dont turn the 360 on until its connected to the computer, or else your going to have a wasted 360

no you have to know when to, you turn it on as soon as you boot to dos, and once you type "mtkflash w /m orig.bin" it will bring up a list once it shows your 360 drive on the list your turn the 360 off and pick your drive number and then wait 10 seconds (assuming you have an MS28 drive) and turn it back on and it will dump your original firmware to your usb drive, do the same when writing as well...
