I know from another thread I have read here that flash drives can be used to transfer files form console to comp and vice-versa... What I'd like to know is if I can buy a $20 512mb flashdrive and use it as a memory card instead of buying $20 8mb Sony memory card. And if I can, do I have to buy/or download a program to change the format? Please tell me that I can and no woprk is involved :)

no. afaik, flash drives can be used to transfer data (saves) from the sony memory card.

No... I don't want to transfer data, I want to know if I can use a flashdrive as a memory card without file corruption.

as i said in the previous post, no, you can't use flash drives as ps2 memory card.

You can buy Max Memory cards up to 64MB that work well I believe.

The max memory cards from Datel work great, and the best thing is they crash Sonys magic gate protection so you dont need any of those lame discs (or modchip) like you need with other large third party cards. However they do not work with V15 PSTwos at all and I do not know why.
