yeah or do that, thats the easiest thing to do if you dont mind having wires everywhere, my computer and xbox are in a different room from where the phone jack is for my modem and i didnt want to run wireless just yet because of price, so i have a 20 foot phone chord running to my modem from another room...

I have a wireless logitech play link. It costs me like $50 on ebay. i connect one transreceiver to my 360 and the other to my router(oru can connect it to your cable/dsl modem). Its max range is 100ft and its only avaible online. Works perfectly w/no lag.
I actaully have a wireless usb adapter for my PC but when i tried it on my 360, it didint work...

thanks mikeismad, fixed the second link. Must have missed something when i did a copy and paste.
I reallyu like the Linksys even though they are not cheap. The router has really good Cisco security, and the adapter has worked for everything i needed. And gameplay online has no lag at all.
USB adapters will not work. As far as i know the only one that will is the official 360 one which is way overpriced. But any ethernet type that will work on the xbox should work for the 360 as well.
