jgarces07:The shoulder buttons on my DS (not Lite) are not working. Any advice?
nintenut:This is going to sound a bit odd, but it works, put your lips around the trigger and blow really hard, it works.
bee_cup: My DS Lite L button don't work...
nintenut: Put your mouth on it and blow, gets the dust out, and sounds obscene!

i have another problem. do you need to get the ARMAX with the usb thet comes with it. the one i got came with a memory card only, but it was still the one that comes in a silver package. the directions to play backups says you need to use cogswap in the media player. i cant find this on my ARMAX. what do i do

its the same one, jut different "accessories". find a usb 1.1 somewhere and just use that. it ~should~ work. you might have to name it "MAXDRIVE", but any usb 1.1 should work. the ps2 can not read 2.0 usb drives.

If you're getting a message with your pendrive saying something like "No files detected on pendrive" just slowly slide it out until it says "Scanning CD Media" or something like that, then slide it back in slowly. Do that a few times and it should detect it. For some reason the ps2 seems to have issues detecting the pendrive, but it will eventually work.

I never had a problem like that. Here's something else to try. Try simply using CDLoader to boot your backup. At the screen where you would normally swap in your exploit cd, just push triangle. Your laser will retract (to its starting position) then insert your TOC disc. Push triangle again and wait until the "Push X" dialog comes back. Push x, then wait until the next screen says "Insert a DVD-R using the EA method".
I've been able to boot every single backup so far like this, including some games that just gave me a black screen with CogSwap.

@stuck3
Sorry can't comment further on cogswap cause the others have already suggested what I would have.
But you really should get rid of roxio it is crap and affects other programs. Do a Google search for roxio killer and get rid of that garbage. Use Nero or Alcohol 120% for your cd burning. Use DVD Decrypter or Imgburn for dvd burning. Just make sure you find roxio killer cause a simple uninstall does not completly get rid of it.
