i'm planning on getting a psp and i dont know much but i was wondering is a psp version 3.03 oe-c any good and what could it do? thank u.

Are you kidding? It's probably the best thing you can get for your PSP. You can't buy them from your local store though, Ebay or a store that sells that kind of stuff. None where i live.

3.03 OE-C is a custom firmware by Dark Alex. It allows you to run your Umd Backups and ps1 backups from the memory card.

Downgrading, Upgrading, and Modding your PSP yourself can be a daunting task. But all of us here that give advice went through the same thing. It is true you can buy them pre-hacked on Ebay, or pay an electronics store to do it for you. But it's totally do-able yourself.

My PSP is V3.03 OE-C and Heres what Mine can do.

Play UMDs
Play ISO files from my Memory Stick (UMD games in file format)
Play Homebrew (SNES, NES, Sega, Gameboy Advance, Gamegear, ect.)
Play PS1 Games (Yes, Metal Gear Solid, Parappa the Rappa, ect)
Use Plugins to Modify your firmware (Icons, Fonts, Backgrounds, ect.)

Its totally worth it, I would be crushed if I lost or someone stole my PSP.

If you want to get the most use of your Modded PSP you'll need to get a 4GB card. You can buy knock-off's on Ebay for about 60 bucks, or get an Official one for about 130'ish.
