PS2 work without a fan?

Hey i have the fat ps2 i was fixing a problem but my cousins decided he could fix it better so he yanks the fan cable out and broke the pins. So my question is will the ps2 work fine without the fan? p.s i have the big one/

Yeah, and I believe the console will automatically shutdown after a period of time [due to lack of fan or overheat, I'm not sure]. Sorry man, but the PS2 actually produces a lot of heat, so it will need a fan to function. You could try replacing the pin header and fan somehow.

Open it up and turn on the big fan you can buy at Walmart and blow directly at it. Or, you have to get a persion who knows how to solder the wires directly onto the main board (not easy easy).

buy a fan for your home and face it to the direct opening of the ps2.

it should work just fine.

my vice city freezes alot.

You should try buying a very small fan, removing the fan in your ps2, placing the fan close to the hole you created, and blowing the air _from_ your ps2.

I would look into buying one of those PS2 coolers that plug right into your UBS ports and that suck the air from your system.
