hi,i have Nero 7 ultra edition and when i try to burn some movies from my hard drive i get the message not enough space on disc,please insert a disc with the required space. this doesnt happen with every movie i burn and Nero tells me that they should fit.i am really new to this so any help would be appreciated.hell i can fix your car but this is not so easy.

Use Nero Recode and burn just the main movie no extras hoe are you getting past the new encryptions ?

didnt know i had to get by encryption.just downloaded movie from ares and burnt it.works nearly every time.

what brand of media r u using?

i assume u r using Nero vision to make them dvd compliant?

yes Nero vision 4.i click on make your own dvd video and then add video file from downloads. havent figured out how to recode or just burn main movie tho.

If the files were downloaded then of course this has NO bearing....you ARE using the correct app of Nero...namely NeroVision.
What size is the file (should be around 700mb)

right on that is correct,i can burn 1 movie of 700mb or so but then i run across one that may even be smaller but goes thru transcoding and then tells me i dont have enough space on the disc.my burner will do dual layer discs,would this be a viable solution?

u can have Nero vision write to Hard disk folder then use Nero recode to get it to fit to a SL disk.

Or

U can change the bitrate in Video options, although the lower the bitrate is the picture quality goes down

thanks all,i have Nero recode and once i learn how to use it i think it will solve my problem.
