AnyDvD/CloneDvD2 is hands down#1 programs out there.

they work on all the SONY movies haven't had a problem
maybe once, they are ahead on every thing, if they slack
up it will be fixed within a few days.............

all of SLYSOFT'S products are the best and the best money
you will spend on backing up your DvD collection.

go on and spend the money you won't regret it.

just my opinion others will say different, but that's all i
use and don't have all the other problems people have.
some of the problems people have on this forum are related
to their computers and such ect.

also if you have AnyDvD/CloneDvD you don't have to rip to
HD, you would be backing up on the fly...and you can
shrink the movies, and keep what you want and don't want.

most of these free programs at some point will not be
free...........have tried all of them myself, didn't
care for them..............

this is only my personal opinion

AnyDvD/CloneDvD Are #1 Hands Down
Extracting Audio Only from DVDs With NERO/DvDDecrypter

RipIt4Me is free and will always be free.
It can handle any Sony movie out there.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

if u add just one more program to the combo u use u can do any dvd out there(even the sonys)

VOBblanker or FixVTS either one of these programs will work

IF u use any of those programs after u use DVDFab and before shrink u will not have any problems when using shrink.

VoBblanker HERE

FixVTS HERE

Here is a Guide for those combos

You guys missed another free ripper that will do these movies. DVD Fab Decrypter

DVDFab Decrypter-
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

I have both AnyDVD and Clone DVD and they will also do Sony's. So if you want to pay for them go ahead, but Ripit4me and Fab are great free software that also work.

RipIt4Me is the most sure method unless you want to pay serious bucks for the Slysoft package. I can't see it as being #1 when freeware has been doing better, at least with Saw 3 in region 1 not long ago. DVDFab Decrypter has been doing well since it caught up after the heavy Saw 3 protection. It only occasionally needs extra compliance processing with the likes of FixVTS.

bbmayo's RI4M guide:
http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/TheGuides/pacman777guide.pdf
I recommend this one because the revised version of Shrink supports burning with ImgBurn instead of the older DVD Decrypter burner ware supported by the original Shrink 3.2.

@300Bowler
Yeah I hate when I do that. He ought to be getting those Sony movies done with Fab tho. No question, Ripit4me is getting all of them done.

Glad to see you joined the choir. LOL RipIt4Me is doing better than the retail apps for being a sure thing. So far it's been trouble free for me and I've done the most difficult new releases with it, including Saw 3, region 1 and Casino Royale.

thanks for the response guys, when i use dvd fab decrypter to try and back up, it dosn't even recognize the disc, it comes up w/ apage telling me to send in info to the company so they can work on the problem. im not sure if im ready to spend money on what i can do for free, tho, AnyDVD and CloneDVD seem like they are worth the $$ if i go down that road.

You're welcome.

Are you using the RipIt4Me or something else?

Bowler
Did you notice RipIt4Me automatically holds autoplay?

@pacman,

yeah, have mine disabled anyway, i think its better to disable it though cuz what if they put the disk in first without opening RI4M before.

@jimcreedx,

if u have problems with dvdFab no need to buy anything as RipIT4me is probably the most popular right now, and works everytime(although i see a lot more threads with RI4M problems, and cant understand why).

DVDFab is known to not work that good when the HDD is heavily fragmented, also make sure u have more than enough space available.

Bowler,
I've found the program won't walk the dog either. The user has to use some smarts.

No big deal though when I forget and put a DVD in first. I just turn off the program started by autoplay and continue on.
