Ow, that hurt.

No, just kidding it didn't.

I was only trying to tell you why some people may not have replied. Keep in mind this is a free help board, and people aren't going to bend over backwards to help somebody who is to lazy to write complete sentances.

first of all im copying legend of drunken master just the movie is too big for a regular dvd-r so im using DVD Shrink to decrease the size oh and im using DVD Shrink version 3.0 beta then i use tempgenc dvd author to put menus in and recordnow max to burn so where did i go wrong in this process please explain thouroughly for me im a noob at copying oversized dvds but i think im getting better at it this is the first oversized dvd ive gotten anything to work from just didnt get any audio at all when i hit the audio button on my remote it says at top of screen audio 0\0 channel 1
If you haven't burnt the project yet & you are getting that error in PowerDVD or WinDVD etc then I would suggest that you burn said project regardless but use a RW disc. As this issue of no audio when playing back on PC has been known for some while.
I think , if I read correctly that the new PowerDVD XP 5 addresses this issue...

Hope this helps !

If on the other hand that there is no audio after burn , then it could be down to the audio selections chosen within DVD Shrink possibly.
You have the option within DVD Shrink to re-author leaving the menu & extracting not wanted audio (I only choose AC3 6CH myself).
Usually I make the extras 'stills'.

Alternative method would be to use:
DVD Decrypter
DVD2One
Nero (or RecordNow)

Method above is my preffered choice...

Check out http://www.chrismccann.co.uk, for some good guides on the 3 Software that you are using......

I agree with herbsman, if you are not getting audio, then I would presume you are not selecting it/the correct one within DVD Shrink...

****if you select DTS, and you are not running it through an amp for playback (decoder) then more than likely you will hear nothing....

As Herbsman said, better to choose the AC3 6ch option - standard tv's downmix this signal to 2 ch audio......

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down
