DMS4 EZI Won't boot DVD's

I have a weird problem. Just installed a DMS4 EZI and now by PS2 won't play any DVDs. It will play all CD backups but won't boot DVD's. It will sometimes "act" like its going to boot a DVD, but will then go to a blackscreen and eventually say "unable to read disc" It won't even play regular DVD movies any more or orginal PS2 DVDs, but will play original CDs, backsup CDs, cd bios disc, etc..

I'm wondering if its my laser, but it would play dvd's etc. prior to the MOD install. Now, when I disable the mod, it still won't play dvd's.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

something with the install has to be wring. If it would play them before it is not your laser. And parts of the chip must be right if it can play back up CD games. I would re-check all of the instructions against what you have. It may be something really small.
You can try laser adjustment but i am not sure that would do much.
