I've never used anything but Verbatim for 360 games but Sony was my brand of choice for ps2 games. Since these retail for $20 more than the Verbs at Bestbuy, I'd say give them a shot. Besides, I will pick up a few just because 25 DL Sony discs will be worth 30 bucks JUST for movies if they suck for 360 games. Nice looking out.

i too have only used Verbatim, but Sony discs worked well for regular Xbox games. That is about $10 off if it is a 20 pack (at least from the Verbatims i buy at $39.99 for 20)

Thats a smoking deal and sony does put out quality media with good dyes. Check the media id and you can find out where it was made.

I am heading to the store as soon as i get off - wish I didn't just buy 50 verbatims for 90 bucks! I guess I will have a lot of DLs!

Sony DVD+R DL are pretty good with xbox 360. I tried 3 of them. All working smoothly. No freezing and smooth loading. Its a good price compare with compusa selling 25 of memorex DVD+R DL for the sam price last week. I have hitachi drive 46G in my xbox 360. If you have sammy drive you will have better performance.

Thanks.
Hey guys I just got these disks and did some analysis. I used DVD identifier to identify the manufacturer of the disk. The disk has a media id of RITEKG01, and according to this website: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
Thius manufacturer falls under the second class listing. Not all sony disks are sony made they have some outsourcing as that link shows.

On the Other hand i tested my verbatims and they have the id of
MKM-001-000 which is mitsubishi chemicals and is the 1st class media. So I guess thats why they are cheap.

Sorry I made a mistake in my last post the sony id is:
** INFO : Disc = [DVD+R-DL:RITEK-D01-001]

This is actually listed as the third class media and is recommended to stay away from. This all according to that website at least.

vor-teev.nfo I did test these sony disks with 360 games and it does work fine. However its possible that you may have more game freezes, etc... with these disks.

Well, I burned one game last night, than my 360 started to do the red flashing (which has never happened before), so I turned it on and off, and it loaded the dashboard, than said, Unplayable media, then went back to the red ring of light, now it won't boot anymore

ugh, it's error code 0020, I have no idea what to do
