Playing Japanese games on American NTSC PS2

I just bought a game from Japan and I want to play it on my NTSC-American version PS2.

How do I do this?

a good mod chip is your best option.
DMS4 Pro, Crystal Chip V2.0 or Matrix Infinity green dot

It may, I know it can do both NTSC-U and PAL but not sure about
NTSC-J games as i never got one. Plus i have not used Swap Magic since version 3.0 first came out.
Try it and find out.

go to browser
put in real game
wait till it says ps2 game
press x
use slide card to open tray after the playstation 2 thing come up (hurry before anything loads from NTSC-u game)

replace with japan game

lock tray

should work

all the swapping must be done in less that 15 seconds some ps2's 10 seconds

I've got the slim ps2 and I covered the sensors with little pieces inside of the ps2.

A couple dumb questions.

I have the original PS2 and im looking to buy a japanese import.
When you say "use slide card" you mean to press the tray eject button? Then switch Cds quickly to the import game and then push the tray button again to close the draw.

Can you also use the memory card with japanese import games?
