crystal chip 1.1 problem..

hi.
i just isnstalled crystal chip 1.1 on my ps2 v.14 and expierencing some problems.
i can't install the v34 boot manager (hacked).
The boot manager installs on the memory card, i reset, and the bm logo apears. After second reset there is no boot logo and playstation boots with internal browser. Backups do not run.
The only way to run backups is to install the chip firmware ONLY.
I double checked the wires and connections from the ps2 and the crystal chip.
Am i doing something wrong?

you may want to check with teammodders.com or norcalmods
they have installers who could most likely answer that one better than most forums.
