I need help running games on my PSP

When I start up my PSP everything runs as it is supposed to, however, it says it is unable to read any of my games, and all my games are brand new. If anyone has any hint on how to get my games working it would be very much appreciated.

what games are you trying to play? original UMD's or the iso or cso?
or homebrew games?

what firmware do you have right now?
