Uninstalling Softmod wont work

So I softmodded my xbox, but i didnt update xbox live so now i cant play xbox live. Im trying to uninstall the softmod with splinter cell. SO i open up splinter cell and then go to the linux profile. According to other tutorials it says there should be something that says turn softmod on/off but it doesnt show this. Am i doing something wrong? Are there any other ways to just turn the mod off so i can update xbl/?

On your modded dashboard, go to system settings and allow uninstall.
