without the ps2 cover on the system wont run a disk. how can i bypass it so if the cover is off it will run it

It's quite simple really. You need to buy a swap magic 3.6 plus coder with either a v4-v8 fliptop (large older ps2), or a magic switch for the new slim ps2's.

That way you can by pass that type of problem. The only modchip site i trust at the moment is http://www.consoleasia.com , so you might want to try them out if you want to make sure you don't get ripped.
