Was experiencing issues on Hitachi where backups would play sometimes, then other times the drive wouldent read. Upon thorough investigation through this forum, i found my problem to be the burning speed for Hitachi, your supposed to burn at 4x, and not 2.4x, which is what i was doing all along. For Samsungs, is it the same issue, best at 4x,best at 2.4x, or doesent matter?

It probably just has to do with your 360s' particular drives, your burner or maybe the media. I've have games burnt at 2.4x and 4x read just fine by both Hitachis and Samsungs. I also had a Hitachi with a failing drive only read Verbatims burnt at 2.4.

i only use the Verbatim discs mysellf. They are the 2.4 to 6X speed.
I burned every game at 4X so far and they have all played fine in my Samsung drive.
