im running firmware 3.30 and i tried downloading playstation games from torrents and when i put them on the system and try to play them it says "you must first activate the system" what do i do? also is there a custom 3.3 oe or somthing of the sort or is it possible to downgrade?

You have make a big mistake upgrading to 3.30 Maybe in future will be a downgrader, but for now you STUCK!!!!

you will only be playing umd games for a long time my friend..this is why if you go to any other site other than the official playstation site there is a warning that says if you upgrade you will lose the capability to play homebrew. if anything if you just got it i would try returning it for a new one. just remember search before you ask questions and before you take action. reading is the best way to learn, and the highest number doesnt always mean its the best one to go with
