Just had a quick question... I notice the have dvd plus r & minus r. Is there a big difference in burning movies or music cds

These are just two different formats. Either one will work. If you find compatability problems with one type, you can always try the other. Booktyping a DVD+R can make it compatable with more players. Your burner needs to support this though. Basically this turns the +R disc into a DVD-ROM which is the most compatable format.

When you enable booktyping your burner will write a bit of data at the start of the +R disc. The player sees this and plays it as a DVD-ROM disc. Just like a commercial DVD is played.
