I Need help Unlocking My Phone

I do have a question: Can I not put my old sim card back in or it does not matter at this point. And whenever I change cards do I have to unlock it again.

Yes you can put your old sim card back into your phone.
Now that the phone has been unlock, most sim cards should be able to work on the phone.
