I had problems trying to backup Casino Royale and when researching the forums, it was suggested to use RipIt4Me. I was unable to find a working link to download this program. Neither their home site at www.ripit4me.org was a working link, and I couldn't register at http://www.aioinstallers.invisionplus.net/ to download the Aii-in-one installer.

Does anyone know a working link for RipIt4Me or All-In-One Installer?

Problem is eventually RipIt4Me will become outdated and not work on the newer movies as it doesn't look like it will ever be updated again. :-( That is why I provided you with the guide on using DVDFab Decrypter, FixVTS, Shrink, and ImageBurn. I know it sounds like a lot, but it is actually quicker and pretty easy to use once you do it a couple of times and as of now anyway DVDfab Decrypter is being updated.

There may be updates

We will have to wait and see how things pan out. As it stands it works for 90% of films currently, but as with any tool the more you have in your aresnal the better your chances of success.

to bbmayo:

I saved both guides and info from you and janrocks. Thanks again.

Off Topic Question: I noticed on page 13 of your guide, your "proggies" list TivoDesktop. I have some questions about Tivo. Can I contact/email you outside of this forum to ask a few questions? I'd really appreciate it.

Hello~
Just had a quick question,I know whats been said about RipIt4Me.My question was when I rip movies a folder is credted on the hard drive with a bunch of Vts or Vto files I forget. Then I back it up with Shrink and an ISO image is then placed on my hard drive. Can I delete that folder and just leave the ISA image to burn? The reason I ask is that folder is sucking up alot of room on my hard drive...exspecially when you get a few of em on their.
Thanks for your help.

I'll try. The folder you speak of contains a VIDEO_TS and several VTS files, which probably will take upwards of 7-8 gigs. If you are wanting to burn these directly to DVD, there is an option in Shrink to allow you to do that. When you click "Backup", you will come to a screen that will allow you to choose a different backup target. Just choose your dvd drive instead of ISO image and you should be set to go.
If the ISO image steps you described are what you intended, then yes, you can delete the original folder containing the VTS files, if you do not wish to edit them anymore.
I hope any of this helps. You can find some pretty good guides dealing with Shrink around here. Good Luck!

Yeah thats what I want to do.I want to delete those files and then burn the iso image later.I can delete those files right away thou...right? And leave the iso image for a later burn.I wasn't sure if I deleted those files,if it would mess the iso image up or effect my burn.It sounds like I can just delete em thou and burn that image at a later date.If thats not the case please let me know.
Thanks,
J

Yes. Once your ISO images is written, the original files can be deleted if you wish. You can then use programs like DVD Decrypter to burn the ISO image to DVD later on, I would think. I haven't backed up a DVD using this technique, so if I'm giving you the wrong advice, I'm sure someone on here will be quick to correct me. But, theoretically, once the ISO image is created from the original video files, those files are no longer needed unless you plan to edit them at a future date.

Do you trust that iso? Why not mount it on a virtual drive and test it with a dvd player like power dvd? If it works you can dump the other files.. but to save time it's probably better to test it first before wasting a disk and having to do it all again.
