what now?

i've sorta tried to search google on hte best stuff and tried to figure out what to do

at the moment it has devhook .44

some places i've read that the 1.5 firmware isnt good etc and i should upgrade to 3.1?

other sites have also said the dark alex is better than devhook etc

whats devhook/dark alex etc? is that firmware?

i downloaded pirates! and its a .cso file...

i've got the pc to detect my psp - thats about it!

devhook is an outdated psp firmware emulation program that you shouldn't use.
dark_alex is a psp god. he is a psp homebrew dev

you should upgrade to 3.03 OE-C.

download 3.03 oe-c winstaller from the link in my signature format your memorystick then follow the instructions in the installer.

after the upgrade reformat your memorystick and it should create a folder called ISO put your cso file in there and run it from the game menu.

you have to have any umd in the drive for it to work

so what do i do with the folders currently on my psp?

delete then put dark alex thing ok?

i've dl'd 3.10 Open Edition. (Rev A)

but i'll get that one

so once i have i unpack it - copy and paste the stuff onto the mem card?

fskid you should try reading the forums a bit b4 you just listen to anyone. Try searching for what you need and do a bit of research you will find it easier in the long run. For instance while running
3.03 OE-C you do not need a UMD in the PSP to run games from the mem stick.

actually for a large amount of iso games you do and my method works i used it.

did you successfully get to 3.03 oe-c i dont understand?

if not you have to select your drive letter in the installer then run the update in the psp game menu

then once you upgrade check you have 3.03 oe-c if you do then format your memorystick and in the root of your mem stick there will be an iso folder.

try reading the instructions more carefully

and dont use the one from dark alex website use the easy installer in my signature

thanks to raganork who on another thread said...

easy turn your psp completely off the hold R when you turn it on to access recovery mode then go to configuration no-umd enabled then it should work :)

would there be a reason why gta vice city stories and liberty city stories wudnt work on this?

i've got both

put htem on the mem card

and the screen shows the icon b4 u select it and the back ground etc

and then when u select it it just goes black
