If you are getting error messages with Platinum uninstall and go with Express for now. I just spent the last week with very little sleep trying to get it to work when come to find out from the horse mouth 321 that the software will be updated in a month I was told till wait till that to come out and then try again. I switched to Express 2.5.2 works great dont have the menus or special features but the quality is great. You cannot have Platinum and Express on the machine together one or the other. Any HP DVD owners use express 2.5.2 it reads and burn with no problems in about 40 mins for both processes. I tried version 3 of express and it didnt work I suggest sticking with 2.5.2 if you dont mind not having the menus and extras. express 3 will give you that but I still cant get it to work. DXC does not support your HP drive why I still dont understand cause they support all the no name drives but one the biggest hardware providers in the world. Oh well. Best of luck to all of you. I am going back to burning. I cant stop now that it works.
