Hi,Im having problems with backing up my dvd's.I am using an LG GSA-4040B and Mirror platinum 4x dvd-r media,after reading through the info here and following to the letter i can not get my back ups to play in my Dansia 852 player,although they do play on the pc,tried six dvd's now with same result.the player finds the disc ok but plays only for a few seconds and then freeze's and starts again all the way through the film.I am using dvd shrink 3.0 beta 5 and nero 5.5.10.42.is this mirror media any good ? is the Lg 4040b the problem ?.Sorry if this question has been asked before and any help would be much appreciated

Well... so many replies !!
right then done my own investigation and found out that the backup copies do indeed work on a playstation 2,so i'm going to take it the mirror media isn't compatible with the Dansai dvd 852.I now will try other media,hope some other newbie to this hobby finds this helpful.

The problem lies with the discs - they are obviously crap. Try another brand of better quality and you'll find the problem has vanished. In future please post problems with playback in the correct section.

Hey Discmania thanks for the reply.
Sorry for posting in the wrong section,I am only 48 hours into ownwership of a dvd burner and its all very new to me.Can you suggest a good media brand. will it be a balancing act to get a media type thats ok with the lg 4040b and the dansai 852 player.

Ritek are usually good and Verbatim. Avoid most other cheapies.
