i have a psp and a small external hard drive(60gb) that i can connect together. i was wondering three things:
1) how to backup my games onto the hard drive
2)how to then play the games from the hard drive
3)can you do this wihtout a modchip? (i dont have a modchip and dont plan on getting one installed)

Your on the wrong firmware for doing anything, you cant hook up any external hd to your PSP. Apart from AR,s EHD.
The only way to run back-ups is to upgrade to 3.03 and with the help of an unpatched UMD of GTALCS and this downgrader, will you be able to do what you wish with your PSP.
