does it make a difference in quality if I rip dvds in File mode or ISO read mode with DVD Decrypter??
Also, if I set my DVD Decrypter to ISO read mode would RipIt4Me after loading IFOs open DVD Decrypter in the ISO read mode?
RipIt4Me is a macro which controls other programs. You make a rip selection in RI4M and it executes the command in DVD Decrypter the same as if you'd made the selection in the program. The only difference is that RI4M also tailors the function. For instance the Full DVD rip in RI4M does the Files rip in DVD Decrypter. But, there is also the movie and movie with menu rip which rips in file mode, but doesn't do the complete rip DVD Decrypter normally does. The ISO rip in RI4M turns on the ISO rip function in DVD Decrypter. RI4M also works with DVD Decrypter to prepare the PSL files for ripping the heavier copy protections that recently showed up. When using RI4M it opens DVD Decrypter according to the settings in RI4M, not what you had previously set DVD Decrypter. Also, your settings aren't effected if you want to use DVD Decrypter alone with the settings you previously had set.
What you'll find is that ISO removes access to individual files. That prevents access to the files by the FixVTS portion of the program. Doing ISO works if the ripped files don't need compliance processing. Unless it's an older movie, that can't be decided till the files are analyzed. With ImgBurn being able to create an ISO for burning and most burning suites being able to burn in file mode, it makes little difference other than for compliance processing whether the files are handled in ISO or File mode. For new releases with the heavy copy protection I recommend selecting a File mode in RipIt4Me and using the 1-Click mode to handle the entire rip and processing. If the protection turns out to be light, there is the skip to DVD Shrink feature that becomes functional.
