Xbox Media Player: Dosn't read mp3's after 500 or so....

Im not very familiar with this program and maybe there is something Im doing wrong. I backed up my cd collections to mp's and put them on one dvd. When I play them in media player its keeps playing track one after 500 and something. Anyone have any ideas?
