I have to prior posts with similar questions but this one is more precise. I use DVD shrink to compress my movie and I am using Nero 6.0 to try and burn it. I've burned using DVD-Video and this allows me to play the DVD on my computer, not on a standalone. I would like to be able to play it on my standalone (XBOX) however. When trying to use UDF/ISO, I am prompted with the message "You have add DVD-Video content to a compilation type that will not result in a DVD Video compliant disc. To create discs playable in standalone DVD-Video players, please use DVD-Video compilation type" I ignored it the first time and burned but ended up just making a coaster. I did not however make a VIDEO_TS folder. I just made a VIDEO_TS folder and put all the files in there but I am still prompted with the same message. Should I be getting this message or am I doing somethign wrong?

Yes, they are .VOB, .ifo, and a few .bup. How come I get that message when I put the two folders in there?

I don't know about Nero 6 but when I use Nero 5.5.10.42 and burn in udf/iso mode there is an option under the udf tab to force DVD-Video compatability mode for the X-Box that has to be checked by default it's not.
I always make a folder first before shrinking something like G:\Spiderman\VIDEO_TS and have shrink rip directly to the VIDEO_TS folder and drag that to Nero. So far I haven't had to make an AUDEO_TS folder for my standalone player, just lucky I guess. Here's a link for an excellent guide made by Orphius that should help you out.

Sorry let me be more precise. The reason your first was a coster is because of the simple fact of not creating the VIDEO_TS folder. You must save all the dvd's files into this folder AND this is important, the folder MUST be in all CAPS. I havent had any luck with the dvd's i copied from the dvd-udf/ifo format playing in standalones. When doing it like nero tell you to it works great On standalone and ps2

For Nero 6, you need to chose the DVD-Video format rather than the DVD-UDF/ISO format. I haven't had any problems this way and all I do is drag and drop the DVD files into the VIDEO_TS folder and click burn.

I always use DVD files in Nero 5.5.10.42 version, because I don't know if my products key is suitable with version 6. All burned discs were able to play on my standalone devices (Denon, Pioneer and some cheap one devices). The only think that I'm doing is just to drag *.IFO, *.VOB and *.BUP files for burning. This means that I'm not creating any VIDEO_TS directory. On the other hand the new created disk already contains the VIDEO_TS directory. On the other hand the majority of video disks in the market aren't contain the AUDIO_TS directory. Shal I thank the Martians???
