permanant bricked psp?

Hi,

I've bricked my psp, the light comes on and turns off after 15 seconds, no sound or display

I think the reason was a corupt DATA.DXAR

it wont go into recover mode so i'm pretty stuffed, i see a bloke on ebay offering a unbricking service for £30, although if he can do it someone must know a way of doing it, anyone know?

The only way of unbricking is motherboard replacement or mod chip.

Don't trust that unbricking service $30 seems a little cheap.

Edit: woops it's in pounds don't know how that equates to dollars

thanks for the reply, the bloke has good feedback, i dont always trust this, £30 is about $55 roughly, maybe he installs the mod chip, fixes the firmware then removes the mod chip?

That is a possibility try getting in touch with someone else who has dealt with him
