How to back up a cd(ps1) to a dvd ??

Hey iam trying to backup my old ps1 games in a dvd but the ps2 console is not reading them is says cannot read disc in a black background.
i have a mod chip. thanks

I've got the same problem. But i don't get a black screen.

The game starts automaticly and after 1 second it goes to the screen with memorycard.

yes i got that too,its go back in the memory browser. i liked to make a multi games in dvd like fifa 97,98,99 etc. mybe someone can help us here

Putting ps1 games on DVD disk and getting them to load is impossible

Because psx are meant for cd,they are completly different to ps2 cd games and cannot be converted either

Yes,thats right,theres no hope
remember psx boot from .exe,whereas ps2 boot from elf file,if psx used elf,maybe putting them on dvd disk might have been possible as using scanlite to patch the file would have been a possiblity
I think you can make multi disk cd for psx,cant remember

as for psp on ps2,its something i havent heard of,or know much about tbh
I am pretty certain its not possible,otherwise i would have seen it

i see mybe theres something to convert the exe etc to elf files i have scanlite too. i tried a lot of things.

I tried it also to copy the game on a cd-r, but still not working.

I thought i saw somewhere on afterdawn that Messiah V2 can read all cd's and dvd's. But mine can"t read an original film or a ps1 game.
