no-one knows if it will be the end of flashed drives. this question gets asked every time there is a new update out. and everytime the asnwer is 'who knows, well have to wait and see' and yes, i was just telling you how to unflash the drive.

I doubt it will be the end of flashed drives, I don't think microsoft sees it as much of a problem

I hope not either, I'm trying to get more info about the update, it seems if they can do all these other updates to the system it wouldn't be too hard for them to block modded firmware, but I sure hope it dosen't happen.

i can't see it myself to be honest. going on m$ past record they have never done anything to block people using copies of of xp or win98.they do try to make it difficult in the first place but they know someone is going to find a way around it sooner or later.
