ha ha ha ha ha sony made a massive mistake sticking a Blu-ray player in the PS3, I wonder if it ever crossed thier mind that it wouldn't iwn the war. At least Microsoft had the sense to leave the player out of the console until they can see which platform comes out on top.
you, sir, are an idiot. the Blu-ray IS winning the war, partly in thanks to Sony. The Blu-ray is destroying HD-DVD. the only sector that HD-DVD is winning in is the pornography business. other than that, Blu-ray is royally owning HD-DVD. so i suggest that you do some research on the subject before you post your crap.

blu-ray hddvd
60gig 10gig
$60 $50
plus microsoft had to make a 360elite just to get close to the ps3 stupid them they didnt do much more then add a 120gig hdd
the 60gig ps3 is $600 and will be $500 in oct. this year, it has wireless internet, a 60gig hdd and plays Blu-ray
the 360elite has like a 20gig hdd, no wireless internet(the adapter to do this is $100) and there is an hddvd player but its $200 more o by the time u get the 360 elite with the wireless and the hddvd play u have spent $700 or more. the more then ps3 for all the morrons out there.
oh, and dont tell me, "well we go halo" screw halo that game sucks
ha ha i dont know why i go on this forum at all, most of the people are blinded by lies. Also i didnt say Blu-ray wasnt winning the war, i said that it never crossed sony's mind that it wouldnt. When you look at sony's past of 'superior' platforms, they never really managed to come out on top, so i dont think this will either.
My main reason for doubting Blu-ray is its name. I saw this video on youtube of some average bloke talking about the ps3. This guy being average and all, he didn't have a clue as to what Blu-ray is. If some avreage person walks into a shop and sees a HD DVD of the movie they want and also see the Blu-ray copy. They will look at the prices and because they recognise the name 'dvd' they will pick up that copy. Or maybe they will chose the Blu-ray and be told at the counter that they need to buy a $1000 player.
I'm not saying Blu-ray isnt good or anything, just saying that due to the reasons above it wont come out on top.
Also im not going to take the time to research because i dont fancy wasting away my day infront of google trying to outsmart people that wont back down.
And this is the all so technical information that you base your "known truth"....you really need to not post and do some research as well as improve your comprehension.
