Does anyone have a link to a tutorial explaining how to swap a disk drive between two 360s? I got a new one today, and my friend has a toshiba but he wants hitachi, and my broken one is hitachi. So, I'm going to swap them for him, but, I just need someone to tell me what I have to do to do it. Thanks for any help
dude first u need the original firmware if u modded it ull probably have it. then u just follow the modding tutorial ull find it if u search ms28 for samsung.
yeah just backup the flash of both using mtkflash and take out the special key switch the keys and im sure its possible. cannot guarantee. wait for someoneelse to reply.
yes it is possible. but instead of doing that, you are going to have to get firmware toolbox 3.0 and get the keys from both firmwares and swap the keys.
Ok well, I've got in my new one, a rom #78, which is incompatible with my x360usb...I was wondering if there's a way for me to swap the two drives, with only being able to hook one of them up to my computer?
take both drives out.
dumb firmware.
open in firmware toolbox.
take the special key for each.
swap the keys and save each seperately keeping a backup of original just in case.
put them back in.
I meant getting the key for the firmware without hooking it up to the computer, I can hook up the one I want to put in, but the original I can't hook up beacuse it won't work in my computer
Is there a way to get the dvd drive key without hooking it up to a computer?
