Hello,
I record music from my dvd recorder, and then rip the dvd of the tracks with xilisoft dvd audio ripper. I do adjust the volume louder in the software, and it all works great!
Using my dvd recorder, I copied a audio cd-r of tracks (just to see how it would come out). I ripped the VIDEO_TS folder, and I adjusted the volume louder and the tracks came out distorted. Why?
Is it because the dvd was copied from a cd?

You probably adjusted it too much. That's called clipping.
