It takes me on average to burn a dvd, like 1 hr, and my friends take like half an hr at most, whats the problem?

And when it reaches, the burn at the end, my program dies!!! it cannot burn anymore..i know it uses other programs, but suddenly it doesnt burn anymrore. i have Nero roxio, decryper!

First use this guide to check if your DMA is in PIO mode

if you are using Nero
you can post a burn log
find it in program files/nero7/nero/core
look for a nerohistory.txt
dont forget to edit your serial number out

Nero and Roxio sometimes interfere with each other. Plus Nero has InCD and Roxio used to have Drag to Disc, I'm not sure if it's still there or not. They're batch software and when that runs it sometimes tries to control the drive and won't allow other software access. Do you have anything like InCD or Drag to Disc on your PC?

As for burn speeds, systems vary. A system with a faster CPU, more memory, and plenty of HDD free space will work faster than a system with fewer resources.
