Hi, since i had troubles using maxdata disc i have since moved to verbatim...

so i copied four of my games, Harvest Moon, Steambot Chronicals, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy XII

i ripped the mds and iso file with DVD Decrypter, and burned the image with Alcohol 120. I didn't use this 'book typing' thing, as i don't understand it...

Harvest moon worked fine, steam bot worked fine, but kingdom hearts has the same problem as when i used the maxdata discs. It takes for ever to load inbetween scenes. So when it goes to a black screen which would normally be a 1 second screen, it takes an age to load. Well, depending on the size of the scene. If the next scene is only going to be a one sentence scene, it loads quick, but if its a massive cut scene it takes ages.

I dodn't get it, especially seeing how the other ones worked fine and the originals also worked fine. Am i doing something wrong? should i use this book typing? and what is book typing? (i have read the description in the other thread but still don't understand it).

Your help is will be much appreciated... Thank you alot

well booktyping (if your burner can do it) is a good thing to use. But you can only use it if you are using DVD+R discs, you can not do this with DVD-R. But if you booktype the DVD+R to DVD-Rom it will be as compatible as you will ever make it.

You can also try slowing the burning speed down (or upping it) depending on the speed of the DVD you use

8X i usually burn at 4X, but if that is not working you can try just setting the burning program to 1X

16X i also do at 4X, but i have also heard of people having good success with 6X and 8X as well.

Also try just using DVD Decrypter for the whole process. To Read and Burn the image. I personally use -r disk so I never have to book type. All my backups work fine.

Rebuilding the KHII ISO might help too.
