Make/model phone: Nokia 1600

Country the phone is locked in: Portugal

The code worked and appears to have unlocked the phone. When I put in the SIM from my wife's phone, there are no warning messages about a bad SIM. However the phone cannot locate the network. Any thoughts on that? Is there another code I need to enter?

I see some posts about a different flavor of 1600 that potentially can't be unlocked. Is this in that category? The firmware keyin dumps the following: N1600 V5.02, 21-04-06, RH-64, (C) NMP, Language: AG.

What network sim are you trying to use and where is it from?

It's a T-Mobile SIM, and it's a 425 area code for the Washington state location.
