I just bought GT3. The game loads and plays the intro video and then all I get is a small square in the top left of my screen. The controller wont work with the game but it works with all my other games. I got the game used from a pawn shop. Is the disc messed up or is it something else?
I also have an Indy Racing game that will only work with my remote control controller but the damn thing is so big that my hand cramps up after about 10 laps. Any suggestions or ideas on what could be wrong?

so, were both of those games bought at the pawn shop?
Do they look like the discs are scratched up?
Are they for the same region as your PS2?
Are these the only two games that give you problems?
Are the games originals ?

Both were bought at the pawn shop.
They are used and have some scratches but nothing real big.
What do you mean the same region as my PS2?
They are the only 2 I have problems with.
Yes they are originals.

Region as in are the games region coded to NTSC, PAL or NTSC-J.

If the controllers work with other games then they must be OLD DUALSHOCK (Gray/Light Grey) made for PSone they work fine with most of the games but NOT with the ones that REQUIRE DUALSHOCK 2(Black ones) Check if you got the OLD ones.
