i have downloaded 'sonic riders', the game from torrents,it was in .RAR i unzipped it using WinRAR from .RAR to .ISO and then burned it on dvd but its not working.i even tried extracting the files from .ISO and then burned individual files on another dvd but it still doesnt work...can anyone help me out with this???

go to the PS2 back up section and read the bold threads at the top.
1. you do not extract an ISO
2. you need to burn on GOOD QUALITY DVD's
3. you need to burn at the correct speed
4. (and i really hope you know this one) you need to have a modded PS2 to play back up games.

i have even tried burning the "ISO" file on a good quality dvd it still doesnt work.And what is the right speed to burn the dvd???

depends on what the max speed of the DVD you use is. Generally i stick to 4X burning speed on any DVD 8X or above. But some people use 6X and 8X on a 16X speed DVD and it works better for them.
Everyone's burner and PS2 is slightly different.

TO AUSLANDER:yeah my ps2's modded
and thanks alot steimy. i read the dvd backup thread which i hadnt noticed before and it was really easy to understand ,and now i've understood everybit of backing up a dvd..but still one more thing do i follow the same procedure with a downloaded game?? can you help me out a little with this that what should i exactly do step by step with a dowloaded game which is in .rar

i have the same problem 2 i download the game game in rar i tryed burning it it dont work i tried the burning the iso dat dont work i use a swap magic can some 1 please help

is it possible you burned the ISO in data format instead of disc image format? I know Nero uses dfferent settings for those things.

hey thanx everyone for your help. anyways i used to burn the iso data format instead of image files. i got one of my friends to help me out using Nero............anyways thanx
