hdd problem error 21 after trying to restore

after trying the swap technique to install audio/font hack (that didn't work btw, coz of dash 2?)
i've tryied to restore the old hdd (backed up w. hdd_driver) but i can't get into dashboard anymore
says error 13 or error 21 (with a game in the drive)

when i try to run unlockx, my bios won't let be even boot floppy and asks for hdd passwd before
attempting to boot the floppy; any ideas ?

how do i install a new drive without havin' access to this *** drive ?

is my xbox dead ?
