I have the same EXACT problem. My xbox is basically bricked at this point considering i cant leave that "xbox live is not responding" message because it just wont update, and for some reason, the xbox won't automatically boot-up games when i put them in, so im stuck at this screen forever!!! Is there ANY possible solution to this?

Your probably not going to like the idea, but you could always rebuild the hard drive.
