DO NOT STAND XBOX 360S UP BECAUSE SOMETHING RUBS THE DISC AND CAUSES SO IT TO GET HOT AND CAUSES SO MANY 3 RED LIGHT ERRORS BUT IT IS STUPID ALL THE MICROSOFT PICTURES SHOW PEOPLE PLAYING THEM STANDING UP !!!!!!!!!!

The machine was made to be able to stand up too, I had my 360 standin vertically for months: no problems at all. (and plenty of other people do that too)

Well, did you ever read that sticker that was on your Disc Tray when you opened your 360? It says right there, to NOT MOVE the 360 when it is on, or a game is in it! I guess you missed that...

only if you move the console, it rubs on the drive tray and it scratches the crap out of games

I put mine too on stand up position since i don't have enough place to put it in the horizontal position and i've never got any problem about discs scratching or whatever other problem.But like other members said when the console is reading you should never move it else of course you will get your discs scratched.
