hello everybody,
i downloaded the swap magic 3.8.elf,and i put it on my pendrive(usb device)
i have launched it with my ar max evo(max media player)and when i want to refresh the toc,(i remove tool A, put an original dvd game,and replaced the tool)and it stays at "insert bigger toc disc".the pstwo doesn't read the toc.is anybody know why? please help me

you cant use games that are really small..use something which is > 4.3gb like GTA Vice City..

every time i try to delete something from my pendrive that came with armax it says cannot delete because of write protection.how do i remove it some1 plz respond

Try using CogSwap and see if that gets you past the "insert bigger TOC disc" thing.

I personally use Cogswap with Sonic Mega Collection Plus as my TOC disc and have only ran into a couple snags. A couple disc require zoneloader also to run correctly. And DVD9 game need rebuilt to DVD5. Other than that I have 0 problems.

I just don't know why you would run Swap Magic over Cogswap if you are running a memory card exploit. Swap Magic from what I've seen requires a lot of games to be rebuilt. Cogswap does not 9.5 out of 10 times it only requires a straight copy and a big enough TOC disc. Swap Magic's TOC is fixed where as Cogswaps is able to be changed by using a different TOC disc.

If you want to try this and need help setting it up to run from you pen drive let me know.

It allows you to play backups on a PS2. But with the elf version you will need to mod your PS2 with a memory card exploit. You could also use cogswap.elf for this.

If you purchase a legit Swap Magic disc you can use it on an unmodded PS2 in combination with a slide card or flip top.

ok i out swapmagic 3.8.elf in my pendrive and put it in my ps2
loaded up ar max went to media player and it said examing pendrive and then its says swapmagic 3.8.elf and a press play and it goes to swap magic 3 plus. i have a slim ps2 and i did nothing to it like modding or anything.now can i play a backup naruto narutimate accel with this

Well your almost there if you got swap magic to load.

You will also have to do the tape and tissue mod for the slim PS2. Directions here http://www.geocities.com/pstwoslimline/tapetissue.htm

If SM.elf is anything like Cogswap I think you will need a TOC disc (an original PS2 DVD/CD)that is bigger than the backup you wish to use. To figure out the size of your original/backup put disc in your PC drive and goto "my computer" then highlight your disc drive to see the total size. I use Sonic Mega Collection Plus as my TOC disc for Cogswap.

I have never ran SM before so I can't be a lot of help there, but I downloaded the elf and will try later. Maybe I can be more helpful then.

Just for your knowledge I have tried this and can't get it to work. every time I try to refresh the TOC it tells me it's not a valid PS2 disc. This is crap cuz I'm using an original PS2 game. I have tried CD and DVD also different discs. I suggest using CogSwap. I have had no problems with it. Use the guide I linked to in my earlier post. It tells where to install all files and how to run them.

If you insist on trying SM good luck I can help no more. I will waste no more time on this cuz as far as I can tell CogSwap does the same without codes. I don't use codes so no advantage.

Did you not read what I wrote? I can not get it to run. I gave links to all the info I have for SM. That is all the help I can be with that.

If you wish to try CogSwap it will run any backup you make as long as you have a TOC disc bigger than the backup. With the exception of DVD9 games they need rebuilt to a DVD5. I also gave a link for this.
