PSP Mod-chip fixes bricked PSP's!!!!????!!??!!??

I want to confirm with the PSPwizards + inform the PSPnoobs

Aparently theres a modchip available (even in South Africa) that alows you to (basicaly) flash two sets of BIOS on your PSP. One on the PSP and one on the chip. So using my common sence one can "repair" your bricked psp right??

Thats what a bricked psp is? something whent wrong with the flashing of the bios. so if your able to boot the psp on a difrent bios, you can access the usb port and reflash the "bricked bios"...??

I also understand that once you have set the original bios to the official sony bios one can play around with the other set of bios. even if you brick the modchip's bios, the psp can still be rebooted in with the other set of bios.

Am I way of the track here?? or do I make sence here??

If this is true than my worries are over!!!! The chip is about half the price of a new psp (in South Africa), but you will never be able to brick your psp again (except if you are a brick yourself).



And I'm gonna buy all the bricked PSP's I can get my hands on to fix it and sell it for a profit!!!:)

You mean psp devolution and undiluted platinum, you very late buddy!
And if your planing to buy up a truckload of broken psp's your spend more fixing them in them long run...

Yes a mod chip can fix a bricked psp...However there are cheaper routes you can take. Such as purchasing a new motherboard and replacing the bricked one with the new one. If you plan on repairing bricked psp's i suggest going the motherboard route a lot cheaper to do and much better profit.

But with the modchip its very difficult (almost imposible) to brick your psp?

and the whole teory of the two bios...do I understand it correct?

Wich is better? to get a chip? or a new motherboard?
Not cheaper!!!better!!!

For yourself, its better to get a mod chip. Yes the two bios is correct.

But like I said before...if your goal is to buy bricked psp's to sell them, then your better off going the route with motherboards because a mod chip is not removable. It must be soldered to psp itself.

1. How much is the Motherboard cheaper then the UP modchip

2. How would you use it as a dual FW chip?

1. motherboards cost anywhere from $10-$20
mod chips: undiluted platinum $69
devolution $89

2. the mod chip adds another flash0 to your psp.

where can you buy PSP motherboards? I looked on ebay with the search of "psp motherboard" and "psp mobo" and got few results. Any suggestions?
