hi im having a problem upgrading my softmodded xbox
when i lock it it says error 6 which it means the xbox cant unlock it


then when i unlock it gives me error 5 which means u have to lock the hdd

help plz !!!

I've never added a drive to my xbox, but I would format the drive completely and rebuild it with Linux.

did u use xbox hdm to create the drive? and did u lock it with the correct eeprom for that xbox?

well i was saying if you had multiple eeproms backed up on your computer you can confuse one for another, but if you used the eeprom.bin file from the xbox that you are upgrading the drive on and you put it in the eeprom folder ox xboxhdm then thats what ur suposed to do but with the error code you have it sounds like its locked to a different xbox, try re-creating the xboxhdm disk and re-create the hard drive

are you using sid 4 softmod?? if so, i had the same problem. for some reason sid 4 was giving me the wrong eeprom. so i uninstalled the softmod and re-softmodded the xbox with sid 2 and everything worked no problems at all. hope this helps.

and isnt sid 2 older so not as good as sid4 ????
