Ok i have a regular X-box. Can i take out the harddrive and hook it up to my pc to soft mod it do i need action replay?

And with that do you Need that to mod the XBox Only or too run it so i can Buy that and Mod another Xbox and they dont actually need the action replay???

Also I seen THis somewhere will this Actually work????? I Downloaded all the Files i understand the steps but i dont wanna break my XboX if it works and you know of it please let me know...




How to mod your xbox without a chip

First off: I am not Responsible for any damage you do to yourself and/or your Xbox.


What you need:
-An xbox

-A computer with a IDE cables

-XBHDM. Get it from xbins. ( see Weks post on how to get it

-UDE ( its the hack I used to mod my box, also on XBINS)

-A CD burner

-A blank CD



I am going to assume you just want to mod your original Xbox hdd. I am also going to assume you have XBHDM and the UDE hack.

Step one:

1. Unrar XBHDM and ude
2. Open the linuix folder
3. Unrar UDE, and copy it into E
4. Now create the iso. (I think its called create linuix or something. its in the folder)
5. Get Nero or whatever you prefer and burn it. (if you don't know how www.google.com it.)

Step two:

1. Open up your Xbox with a torx screwdriver.
2. Pull out the IDE cable from the xbox hdd
3. Now open up your pc and have your primary slave drive ready to be unplugged
4. Turn on your pc and go into the bios. Change it so that your cd rom is the primary boot drive
5.now let it boot to XBHDM screen and press 1

Step 3.

1. Turn on your xbox
2. I find it is easiest to make this work if you go into memory
3. Now the tricky part. pull out your PC harddrive ide cable
4. quickly pull out your xbox ide cable and swap it with your pc one. this step takes a little practice. This has to happen damn quick. So dont give up
5. Now once your in the xboxhdm thingy. type UDE
6. if everything goes well, you should be able to turn on your xbox and see a whole new dashboard.









Also if it works How do i Ptu Games on The XBoX? just download the Xbox Game IsO Please help. Thanks To those Who Helped and Thank you krj5489

that would be a hotswap. that is hard to do. but it will work. i would recomend action replay or a friend who already has a modded xbox. also you can get xbox moding files from xbins

Ok Sorry i keep asking questions... lol i Have xboxhdm_v1.9 and UDE_v1.4
Those are the only files i need? also about the games... and also my one dude that got his Xbox modded like that this dude came to his house with a 007 game and put it in his xbox and it modded it in like 10-15 mins how would i go about doing that?

ask your friend if he can put the 007 gamesave on your xbox then borrow the game from him. you play the game load the linux profile it will take you to a menu and it will install the mods for you.
