Upgrade to Sonys offical 3.03 (3.03 NOT 3.30) and then downgrade to 1.5 using GTA:LCS unpatched. Then use the Winstaller to load your OE firmware.

I had a TA-082 2.71 for about 10 seconds....now its 3.30 OE, and running smooth.
