Hello! I was wondering if any one knew how to record from a VHS to a DVD-R using the Pioneer DVR-220 {dvd recorder}. Please help!!

If the VHS is a commercial tape with copy protection . . . you can't do it with the Pioneer

Connect the red, yellow and white RCA jacks between the VCR's OUTPUT and the DVD recorder's INPUT jacks. On the DVD recorder, select toe proper input (video 1 or 2) . . . When you start the VCR playing, start the DVD recorder recording.

You may want to practice with a DVD-RW disc so you don't waste and DVDs

Ok. I got it all hooked up & recorded it onto a DVD-R, but the disck won't play on any of my DVD players. it will also not play on the recorder and my computer. Please help!

Did you finalize the dasks after recordeig
Did you have the proper source selected [was it a blank recording]
If you can't see anything on on the disk with any of your units and your PC.
How do you know it did or did not record

I have not finalize the disc yet. How do you do it? I'm using the pioneer DVR-220 (stand-alone dvd recorder)
